All That Glitters is Gold

A color that I’ve seen in a lot of weddings lately has been gold, and why not? It’s a beautiful metallic color that is timeless and elegant. What girl doesn’t like gold? Matter of fact, who doesn’t like gold?! There are so many cool ways to incorporate gold into your wedding, and it honestly can go with any color palette. Clear vases with white hydrangeas at the base and tree branches painted gold sprouting from the center dripping in crystals and hanging candles make great centerpieces. If you’re not a flowers kind of girl, you can use gold vases with white ostrich feathers for a 192o’s stylized wedding. When brides use gold in their weddings, it tends to be more for decor than anything else. Gold vases wrapped in pearls with baby’s breath are great for a more simple wedding or gold candlesticks with candles decorated with gold glitter for brides who love a little more sparkle. Even simpler would be to spray paint old bottles and place a single stem of stalk, tulips, or peonies in enough water to keep them hydrated. Simple but absolutely gorgeous. Gold chairs with blush sashes or gold tables covered in gold are perfect for the bride who wants to go full glam. She may  want to dress her bridesmaids in gold or even herself. For those ladies with fall weddings, along with that pumpkin spice latte, you can spray paint pumpkins gold and use that as a centerpiece along with gold dipped pine cones. It just screams fall. Or how about using those millions of leaves in your yard? You can paint them gold and hang them from the ceiling of your venue or write the names of guests and use them as name cards. It’s unique and beautiful. However you choose to use gold this year, just remember to have fun and get creative!
