Boho Chic

Here in Texas it’s still winter but come spring or summer, it’ll be the perfect time for a Boho Chic wedding . Boho Chic is a modern take on hippie style trend of the late 1960’s to the early 1970’s. This trend is for the more carefree and music festival loving bride. Wedding dresses made of vintage lace with bouquets of various wildflowers such as salvia, thistles, daisy, snapdragons, bunny tail grass, sweet pea, delphinium, and bits of Veronica. Naked cakes are also effortlessly bohemian with little to no frosting adorned with yellow solidago, olive branch sprigs, marsala hypericum, St. John’s wort, and misty limonium. Boho chicness is about simplicity and nature. The simpler the better. You can use ribbon anklets of duchess peonies in various colors along with scabiosa periwinkle pods for the Boho bride who prefers to go barefoot or for a beach wedding where shoes are unnecessary. Floral crowns are so Boho Chic especially when laid upon beachy waves giving you that flower child look. Wooden arches full of foliage like eucalyptus leaves with hydrangeas, garden roses, baby’s breath, and stalk scream Boho and would look beautiful at any outdoor wedding. You don’t have to be Bohemian to use these trends for you wedding. You can use as many or as little of these trends to create your perfect day.
